I wouldnt be surprised if something like daemontools is screwing it up. This can cause a lot of probs Speedy Gonzales (78)

never used daemontools.

i pretty sure i removed roxio very early on when we first got the desktop over 3 years ago

Have you tried taking the external drive elsewhere?

1157857 2010-12-02 02:34:00 havent got a install disc, the desktop didnt come with one, only a recovery partition and the OEM sticker on the side of the case

i havent yet, but i might tomorrow when i watch the 2nd ashes test at a mates house
