1106076 2010-06-04 00:57:00 Tell them you won't let them install AB Tutor on your PC until you can install it on theirs so your parents can watch them to make sure they aren't secretly looking at pictures of you or something dodgy.

Several teachers etc at schools have been caught doing that sort of thing, why should you take any risks that they aren't doing it? You have a right to monitor them!

That might sound ridiculous to some people, but wouldn't you want to know if that was happening?

1106078 2010-06-04 07:06:00 Are you 12?.......Its already been stated, they have controls for a reason, nothing to do with not coping!...You are lucky to have such access period! Get over it already

Ok, no i'm not 12 and i'm starting to get sick of people telling me to get over it. I understand perfectly that they have controls for a reason and yes most of them ARE acceptable however the actual question I am asking is mostly regarding AB control (we established this about 30 posts ago) and the fact that perfectly harmless sites are blocked for what most of the student body deems as excessive (also established 30 posts ago) so try to read the rest of the statements regarding the fact that yes, the controls are good, yes we think they may be excessive in places, no I am not 12 ("I" am a "we" in this situation as I am speaking on behalf of 5th 6th and 7th form)

Nah, I meant you don't have any right to insist they they install it on their own systems, as goodiesguy suggested.
