I would be quite surprised if they actually have a good reason for blocking the sites they do. If they block all forums for example then that's most likely just a laziness issue or (maybe) limitation of their software. Refusing to unblock access to PressF1 on the grounds that it is a forum is clearly idiotic, and such stupidity should be challenged as a matter of principle. |

| 1106065 | 2010-06-03 12:26:00 | you really need to complain about them blocking this forum. this website is a tool and has nothing to do with pornographic material, and this forum doesent use much interent usage either. and you should not be made to install something on your laptop. it is your laptop. you choose what you want installed, it is your property. the software from them could harm it. sorry i just think they have gone too far. not all teenagers are bad. im 14, my room is clean and tidy, i behave, i get good grades at school. why is their such a bad image of teenagers. why are the good teenagers always being punnished. damn |

Unlikely to do as much harm as them connecting to every dodgy website. They have a right to protect their network. |

| 1106069 | 2010-06-03 20:41:00 | AB doesn't restrict internet connections, its a remote desktop client with some features like key logging, web history (they can view that anyway with SINA) and plenty of other stuff. the reason they won't let us have mobile data because "it bypasses all restrictions and student management software we have in place" basically they can't see what we do, they cant control what we do and they can't cope with the idea of a student looking at something under the category "Humor" (another blocked category) for netbooks its an absolute pain, one of my friends has one. AB runs 2x processes @ 2500-3700kb each in idle, if yuo end the process the sucker comes back again | The Error Guy (14052) | ||

Not much you can do about it but bend over and take it up the tailpipe. The error guy: Just wait until you are in the workforce and you are not allowed to browse youtube or facebook, because they say so. If you are using their equipment then they make the rules end of story. Consider your self in training |
