Disregard the politics and kiwi culture, those who make it bigger are kiwi expats working overseas. At my course there is a bloke who started working since he was 15 in hospitality, and now doing a course in his 40s, he plans to work in Australia, then to London which he has contacts and then make his way into the States. Yeah, you can have your roomy house and front/backyard and lesser living cost, you can whinge all you want, the bright light isn't in NZ. IMO NZ can get the Rugby World cup but I heard that NZ want to compete for the Soccer World Cup, lol. IMO it is the kiwi rugby culture that secured it, but in my mind NZ isn't going to be a London, Paris, Capetown experience. Then some chap said NZ has more chance getting the Olympics - even more lol. Is NZ really a Shanghai / Los Angeles, Tokyo experience, lol. The migrants I know wanted to come to NZ because of family life, nicer people, more laid back life. |
