2010-06-02 14:11:00 | Personally, I'm into Hard Dance/Hardstyle and sometimes a bit of Dubstep. www.youtube.com The majority of the Top 40 are just bands/singers that have been heavily invested in by corporations. They decide who is going to be in the Top40, and whose CD you will buy next. That isn't music. Anything that doesn't fall into that category I would class as music worth listening to. Yeah nah bro. Need some good music in there. www.youtube.com

2010-06-02 14:36:00 | A small question here for you all. Because some of you may not like the music and lyrics I choose to listen to does that make me wrong? These lads can make Guitars sing and don’t need vocal. I like the key changes part way through. When I bought my first CD player I also got the first CD which I still have. www.youtube.com In case you want the lyrics I offer this. www.youtube.com Enjoy or not as you wish.:o Your choice is over to you and I won't denigrate those that choose other forms of what is surely entertainment. The original Ghost Riders I heard was done by The Sons of the Pioneers and I still have the vinyl record today. If anyone wants proof I could attach a photo. Excellent taste there Sweep, particularly the Shadows :D. I personally quite like Tommy Emmanuel (en.wikipedia.org) - another chap who I consider to be somewhat talented with a guitar: www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com

2010-06-02 19:59:00 | I don't listen to commercial radio but for me music has been brilliant these last few years with bands like Arctic Monkeys, The Coral, Wild Beasts, Babyshambles, The XX, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Drums and Egyptian Hip Hop (not a Hip Hop band as it happens) amongst my favourites of the moment. | Twelvevolts (5457) | |
2010-06-02 20:19:00 | I am a lover of classical music, light as well as the odd opera (like TideMan) so any of the newfangled music makes me want to gaga. Give me Pavarotti, Andre Rieu and such any time of the day. My son likes the kind of music Metla likes, so when he's home (like this weekend) my ears will probably start to bleed again. sarel

2010-06-02 20:59:00 | Yes, I agree with that. Music from 1815 to 1910 - Romantic period - which included Beethoven, Schubert, Dvorak, Tchaikovsky, etc. was and still is great stuff. All a matter of opinion. Your idea of music is based partly on culture - look at traditional indian music for instance. This classical stuff was all we were allowed to listen to when young, I think its rubbish, it goes on and on and is all the same. I prefer techno.

2010-06-02 21:16:00 | they did not prevail until people took a chance. They were one of the most banned bands for quite some time, until laws got modern. You what? Sabbath had immediate success, and their early singles charted on the British music charts, thats mainstream. The censorship movement was at its peak in the 80's with the PMRC which resulted in many bands being unable to play in some places in the States, but by then Sabbath had long since peaked and were in massive decline, little more then a novelty band playing small clubs,.

2010-06-02 21:23:00 | And crap talks about rape/murder/crime and all other kinds of crap, that certainly isn't censored... And have you ever read the lyrics for a Cannibal Corpse album? Though the name and artwork should be enough to warn off most people.
