Your PC\Laptop will have an on-board sound card probably select as default device, however as the HDMI comes from the graphic card, you will have to change the sound output device to the sound option from the graphics card. Does that make sense? Go to Control panel>sounds and check the options for default device |

Sound and Video are separate devices on a PC, with HDMI, they got round this by adding either a cross-over interface between them or just adding a sound output to the video card.... However, remember the PC will always use the last select device! |
