| 1157532 | 2010-11-30 05:03:00 | Hey guys,got a mates laptop here and it doesn't boot up. Fan spins for a few secs then nothing.There is a little green light which stays on.I have tried an external monitor but still nothing. |

| 1157540 | 2010-11-30 07:30:00 | The green light usually means its got power, normally via the mains. Unplug the power from the laptop and it should go out. If it shuts down right away (fans etc) and stays off, it may have a blown Motherboard = $$$$ unless its still under warranty. Over heating, even with clogged ducts it should try to boot and at least get some sort of display, even for a minute. |
