1107557 2010-06-06 22:52:00 I received my 3GB cap a few days ago.

I did redo my HDD and so I had all those updates. I installed the impt ones and turned it off - check but don't download. I must of installed something or said yes to something and it put it back to the recommended way.

Windows just downloads 100s of MBs secretly untiil you turn the computer off you see that it is applying 12 diff #$^%& updates.

If I was on mobile internet or uncapped, it will be so easy to get a big bill.

I now have 1.6GB for June :p
I was monitoring it, just yesterday afternoon it was 800MB. That's a big jump.

1107559 2010-06-06 23:12:00 I reinstalled XP last night, done over 1GB with just updates and installing a few basic programs like Chrome, iTunes .. nothing major.

..and they say we need faster internet, not bigger caps. That'd make a good Tui ad!

1107560 2010-06-07 01:01:00 Yeah the caps here are a joke :(

Its all ways funny to see some American people cry about the proposed 500gb caps, not to mention that they have actual high-speed broadband too.

3GB? cant you increase that to something like 15GB? or you can just take your PC to work and perform all the updates and software downloads there :p

Haha yea and all the crying about AT&T dropping their $30 unlimited 3G mobile plans. Now you have to pay $25 to get a whopping 2GB! It doesnt seem like much but compared to NZ mobile prices its awesome!

1107563 2010-06-07 01:11:00 We are thoroughly ripped off in NZ.
I can't imagine why (Oh, that's right, because we let them)

1107564 2010-06-07 01:18:00 You'd rather we voted with our feet and went elsewhere? To where? Dial-Up? ;) Chilling_Silence (9)
1107565 2010-06-07 01:35:00 No, just having a moan on a miserable public holiday.;) KarameaDave (15222)

If EVERYONE in NZ jumped ship to Dial-Up, I'm sure we would have cheap broadband in no time! :D

But thats probably not going to happen. :p
