2010-12-04 03:29:00 | Can you please advise what hardware you require drivers for. Install AIDA/Everest (www.lavalys.com) or Belarc Advisor (www.belarc.com), both of these should give exact details of your hardware, so that the correct drivers may be found Also, laptop model and manufacturer are required too please :) Neither of these worked. Sorry:(

2010-12-05 20:21:00 | Hi guys and thanks again for all the advise on these issues. Next question:- Now that my wireless is working, can I ask, please, if it is possible to be able to print to my main printer? It's connected to a desktop, via an Ethernet cable to a Canon MP190 stand alone printer? :thanks Ian

2010-12-05 20:48:00 | Ian, you need to browse network neighbourhood, click on the desktop pc computername, then right click on the shared main printer and select connect. This is the quick way of installing network printers, you maybe prompted for printer drivers! | SolMiester (139) | |

Sorry Ian, the correct name for the icon is 'my network places', should be on your desktop, if not, use the my computer icon, then on the left hand side you should see My network places, if your network is setup correctly, you should see the computer names of all computers on your network! |

2010-12-06 00:03:00 | Unless the computer thats got the printer has wireless on it, you wont be able to print wirelessly to it. Unless you connect a ethernet cable to the laptop. Does the desktop have wireless on it? Go to control panel / printers, (on the laptop) and add a printer. You'll have to install the printer drivers ONLY | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
