1107657 2010-06-07 07:19:00 With the extra channels coming on line lately I thought I would be clever & sort them into order. I thought I would start with a factory reset on the decoder. That worked ok, but now OPTUS D1 is not on the list of available satelites, bugger. Driftwood (5551)
1107658 2010-06-07 07:32:00 you have taken the optus d1 settings out

# 1.TRANSPONDER Freq = 12483 S/R = 22500 HORIZONTAL.
# 2.TRANSPONDER Freq = 12456 S/R = 22500 HOR

1107659 2010-06-07 08:16:00 What Brand of Decoder is it?

Go to Installation

Satellite Name: Optus D1
Add TP: 12483
Symbol Rate: 22500
Polarity: H

Then add another Transponder
Add TP: 12456
Symbol Rate: 22500
Polarity: H

Then Go to LNB Settings/LNB Frequency

There are 2 Main LNBs used 10750Mhz (dual) or 11300Mhz

Select one at a time, until you see both Quality and Level Ratings.

Set to FTA (free to air only)

Perform a service search.

The sort channels, this will also pick up the newer FTA channels

Goodluck

1107660 2010-06-07 08:28:00 Sounds like you are on to it, but I can't see anywhere in the setup to access that.

1107661 2010-06-07 08:36:00 I sell them and have programmed many of them, there have been lots of finger-happy-customers hit "Restore to Factory Default" on there remote.
A definite opps!
Not familiar with your brand, but they all work have the same concept, just different menus.

You need to look for Installation, Dish Setup something similar to start with

Then Add Satellite...

1107664 2010-06-07 09:30:00 Thank you kindly for your help.
Yes that is indeed the unit I have here.
That manual has 10 more pages in it than the one that came with the unit.
Still trying to put it all together, do I have to type in the name of the Satelite manually or does it find it after the settings are put in.

1107665 2010-06-07 09:53:00 Manually

Call it what ever you like it doesn't matter
Once you add the new satellite it may ask you for the Transponder
Go ahead and enter the details I gave you

1107666 2010-06-07 10:37:00 Well I finally got the name on the list.
Had to open the rename box & type it in manually.
Added your settings & it's away.
Channels are all over the place.
I'll let certain people watch their programs & sort that out later.
Many thanks for your help.
I had concidered a firmware update but after this eposode I think Ill leave it be.
