1160335 2010-12-09 23:19:00 I have a IBM Intelistation M Pro (1.5gb RAM 3.4ghz P4) that sometimes gets BSOD for a split second and then restarts (also does this without BSOD). I can here the CPU fan struggling. It has no other cooling devices (fans heats sinks, liquid cooling etc). The only thing I can think of is that it is running hot or PSU failure. Any ideas?

BTW: XP PRO SP2 (tried safe mode and it got BSOD)

1160337 2010-12-09 23:22:00 You can see the BSOD error for longer by pressing F8 during boot , then selecting turn off automatic restart after system failure. Cellux (15145)

@ speedy can't won't even boot gets to log on and BSOD. I think it's running hot as it is 55+ idle in the BIOS.

The case at the moment is about as hot as my laptop after 2hrs on load (not idle like the desktop).

You stop it rebooting long before this stage. You can stop it at the menu after it reboots,

Tried @ various screens pre OS.

I have it standing on it's side with the top off and it will run everything. The case must have some serious airflow issues.
