| 1111340 | 2010-06-18 07:11:00 | I'm currently working on my MCSE 2003 certification (about to take the first exam of 7), and plan to eventually upgrade it to MCITP Enterprise Administrator (2008). I have read advice that even today most companies still use primarily Windows Server 2003, hence the value in getting MCSE 2003. I'm curious if this is as much the case in NZ, so if you work in a company in NZ please vote on this poll to indicate what Windows Server OS (if any) your company uses. Thanks! |

Back in maybe 2007 some of them just migrated to XP from Windows 2000. If I am not mistaken one org used Workstation 2003 on the clients. |

Example Types :ftp server,dns server,mail server,exchange server,dhcp server,Office Live Communications Server,SharePoint Portal Server,Systems Management Server --- Generally they are "add in options" within server 2003. Others use some form of Linux servers as well. |

| 1111345 | 2010-06-18 10:30:00 | Most of my clients with servers run 2003 simply because it is cheaper than 2008 & runs on cheaper hardware. I like server 2008 from a couple of small installs I've done, but I am having a few problems with migrating from an old server to a new 2008 server at the moment. My friend does a lot more server work than me & he said that 2008 is always a pain. |

| 1111346 | 2010-06-18 10:52:00 | We run 2003 simply because we don't have any pressing need to upgrade. We may look at 2008 sometime in the future, but 2003 is satisfactory for the time being. | somebody (208) | ||

| 1111348 | 2010-06-18 11:45:00 | Mainly 2003 at present - but we're going to a 2008 domain + Windows 7 at the end of the year, so as many servers as possible will be 2008. | jwil1 (65) | ||
