| 1111202 | 2010-06-18 04:37:00 | [I]How come I can't seem to just hire (instead of having to purchase) photo & negative scanners & a Tape/vinyl record/ video tape to CD? If anyone knows of such a company in Wellington - please let me know! | john stone (15836) | ||
| 1111203 | 2010-06-18 04:41:00 | I'm not sure about your request - but if you are unable to find what you're after, TradeMe may be an alternative. Buy whichever bit of gear you need, use it, and then resell it afterwards for a similar price. | Erayd (23) | ||

If anyone knows of such a company in Wellington - please let me know! You may not be able to hire the equipment yourself, but there will almost certainly be businesses that you can take your photo's/negatives & tapes/vinyl to to get them digitized; this (http://www.convertit.co.nz/) is a local (Dunedin) company doing such work. |

Nobody ever killed themselves diving a photo and slide copier into the ocean, or by flying it into the side of a cloud covered mountain, so I'm picking that the risk factor for copier hire is somewhat lower. You wouldn't need years of expensive training, a license, medicals and a type rating to drive a copier, just suitable ID and a credit card. :illogical Cheers Billy 8-{) |
