2010-12-10 03:20:00 | Is or was this on the net?? It looks like 0x0000008E, 0xc0000005,(the first part of this stop error, can be caused by rustock.b a backdoor trojan / rootkit) I would (if you can), remove the hdd then scan it with a virus scanner. Or use something like trojan remover

Or use something like trojan remover I reinstalled windows and now is getting usbport.sys blue screen. Also with driver_irql_not_less_or_equal error messages. Any ideas? |

2010-12-10 07:54:00 | Sounds like a stuffed cd or corrupt hdd, if you reinstalled Windows, and nothing else. And its still blue screening. Did you do a clean install? Did you install SP3? If you reinstalled XP?

2010-12-10 08:09:00 | What stop error is it showing now with that file? Did you install SP3 from a flash drive? What USB devices are plugged into the USB port/s? | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-12-10 19:09:00 | What stop error is it showing now with that file? Did you install SP3 from a flash drive? What USB devices are plugged into the USB port/s? A mouse has been in the usb port and once a usb drive. SP3 installed off a CD (home-burnt). Will get stop error. It is now more consistent by showing the same/similar errors each time. ALSO-Yesterday the pc shutdown and restart and had "PSU Power Restored" in the POST screen along with the error 8603 or whatever that means change the battery. No blue screen was shown and the pc is programed in the BIOS to restart after power failure. Restart after system crash was off. Could this be linked or a separate problem.
