2010-12-10 04:34:00 | I have two MS updates that the computer tries to install every time I shut down. How can I get rid of them?

2010-12-12 21:17:00 | Untick / hide them. What are the updates? They are Security Update for .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3, and 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB983583) and Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 and 3, and 3.5 SP1 on Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP x86 (KB2418241) I uncheck them but they stay there and next time I shut down they are automatically "installed" but this always fails anyway! I want to get rid of them in their source folder (Windows/Software Distribution/Downloads ???) but how do I identify them there?

2010-12-12 21:37:00 | why not just install them? | GameJunkie (72) | |
2010-12-12 22:00:00 | The main exe files for them are probably in add/remove programs, (the ones you've listed look like updates), or whatever its called depending on the version of windows. But if you uninstall them programs that need them will fail to work. Just delete whats in the folder you posted. Then check for updates again | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-12-12 22:20:00 | Download them from MS updates website and install them manually, or go to the MS update site and tell it to ignore those updates | gary67 (56) | |
