| 1159957 | 2010-12-08 21:52:00 | Hi All. If I were to instal a larger HD alongside the existing one & re-instal XP Home on it, it would be a "Clean" drive. If I Image the old drive across to the new one, I think, I would pass all the old crap as well. Is that right? If so then I would have to re-instal backups, but wouldn't they have old crap on them as well? PJ |

| 1159958 | 2010-12-08 21:54:00 | If you image the drive, you will have all the contents of the source drive. If you do a clean install and then restore backups, you will have whatever was included in the backups. | inphinity (7274) | ||

(If you don't XP won't end up being on c: on new drive) 2)Install XP on new drive. 3)Slave old drive back and copy over personal data if it isn't back ed up elsewhere. Yes, an image transfers exactly what was included in that image. If the image was made after bloat etc, then bloat goes across too. |

Just got to save for the HD now. PJ |

| 1159964 | 2010-12-09 03:07:00 | Effectively I have one 200 Gig hard drive. I do have two but one is a mirror of the other. 60 Gb free. With 43.9 free what is the problem? |
