| 1161380 | 2010-12-13 16:00:00 | Hi everyone, I have recently sent a new PC to someone at one of our remote offices, and it has a weird issue. None of the devices (including printers) show up in the "Devices and Printers" folder. It seems to work fine apart from this small issue. It prints fine, and I can see the printers and drivers if I use printmanagement.msc. The only reason we noticed the issue is because the user wanted their default printer changed. I have searched and tried quite a few different fixes including; uninstall/reinstall all printers and drivers, enable bluetooth support service, re-register IE8 Dlls, ran "sfc /scannow". It is a brand new Acer Veriton M221 with an Athlon X2 2.8GHz, 2Gb of RAM, Windows 7 Pro (with all updates). If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it as I am lost. Thanks for reading, Dave. |

I have tried all the solutions other than a full re-install. Starting to think that is what it's going to take. |
