2010-12-12 04:23:00 | Need to replace both case fan and processing fan. Have taken out to get details then replaced. Looked at DSE site, its the only place I know, and they dont seem to have either of them. Only a 60mm, 80 and 120mm) Case fan Foxconn DC Brushless fan ISF 2J 12V 0.16A 90mm x90mm 10mm thick (me measuring) Cant find a part number on it and forgot to look at number of pins One Ive seen on oseas site says Model PV902512L, but it measures 92mm, The 90mm one says .40A. and on computerstore co.nz have a Deepcool 9cm Processing fan AVC model DA09025T12UP 12v = 0.70A 048 IBIS bearing P6515 DC HP P/N: 5AF50-009 Its 96 x 96mm 25mm thick (me measuring) Oseas site but its always listed with the heat sink too. Seen fans only, 2 Zalman listed on computerstore co.nz Both 92x92x25, but listed by speed & noise, and I dont know what mine is So 1) From my details would someone please be able to tell me what mm size fans I have, I must be measuring wrong. 2) where is best place to buy or order from 3) Is there a better make I should get r higher voltage? 4) How can I work out what I need to ask for if asking for a different make 5) Can I get the processing fan without heat sink:thanks

2010-12-12 05:00:00 | Go to a real computer shop, unscrew the case fans / CPU fan, then take them with you | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-12-12 05:27:00 | Yes possible, but where in Wgtn would one go. As mentioned only know DSE, and have no transport. Also wanted some recommendations of good brand of fans. Thought if I could work out measurements I could order online. Alas have never bought any parts before so not au fait with good places.

2010-12-12 05:38:00 | http://ascent.co.nz You can have it couriered to your door. I have a 120mm DSE fan and it sounded much like a vacuum cleaner - so I bought a fan 'dimmer' so it was bearable :p Stay away from them though... cheap rubbish.

2010-12-12 10:32:00 | www.techworld.co.nz has the best prices for fans. Best selection, too. Scott the owner is a great guy to deal with too. By processing fan you mean the CPU fan? Seems like it's a custom one, but you can always ghetto the fan onto the heatsink. As for the case fan, at 10mm thick it's a low profile fan. Is there space for a 25mm thick fan in there? Because it's almost impossible to find a 10mm thick 92mm fan these days. The Arctic Cooling F series fans are great, but they may be too slow-spinning as a CPU fan under load.
