2010-06-22 22:24:00 | So has anyone actually tried oil cooling? Saw a few demos on YouTube and thought it looked awesome...just a bit messy :P

2010-06-23 01:31:00 | You can cool oil in hydraulic systems in one of two ways in general. Either a water cooled heat exchanger or a forced air draft oil cooler. I used to use Oxford Controls air blast oil coolers in our machine tool spindle hydraulic power packs, like in this photo: www.box.net I have a feeling this is not what you mean.....:banana:punk

2010-06-23 01:33:00 | im talking about filling an air tight case with oil, covering all components except the psu ;) | GreacherTech (15784) | |
2010-06-23 01:40:00 | That's what I figured you meant. Why not the psu as well? | hueybot3000 (3646) | |
2010-06-23 01:51:00 | Oil will damage the inside of the PSU I assume? Don't really know tbh | GreacherTech (15784) | |
2010-06-23 01:53:00 | Given its non conductive I wouldnt think it would matter what you put in it. Hard drives may not like it though, or anything with movin parts | hueybot3000 (3646) | |
2010-06-23 01:54:00 | It really is an idiotic idea that shouldn't be given the light of day even in idle passing fancy............. | Terry Porritt (14) | |

All i know is that when seeing it done, they didnt cover the psu and i assumed there was a reason, the HDD was fine, system ran perfectly. |
