Am quite interested - because I originally looked at this model - but eventually decided on the 1005PE. I travel internationally, and for work - the 11-14 hour battery life was just too good to miss. Having never used a netbook before, I now find this little sucker perfect. I've installed Debian with the KDE-netbook DE, and it's really good. Will be really interested to hear how you get on with yours when it arrives. |

Longer would be better, of course, but the ability to multitask smoothly and to run Photoshop are important to me. I will probably try PClinuxOS or Mint (or both to test it out) |

They are definately covered if you use 'Buy Now' and don't go through the auction process. I think if you buy it through the auction process, it is more difficult, but I think they are going to be changing the legislation so the CGA applies to auctions. If they are a good company, they would honour the CGA on an auction anyway. |

I won't get time to install Linux for a week or two as we are heading to our Karamea place for some R&R you know...lawn mowing, cleaning, fixing the water supply all those restful holiday activities!! :D |
