If you don't have high hopes whilst young then things have gone badly wrong I think, disappointment is inevitable as/when idealism meets/clashes with reality over time, presumably it's what growing up is partly about, not becoming bitter over lost hopes and dreams but seeing how this can't really be any other way unless you have already been "jaded" out by the cautions of the more experienced around you and their teachings to the point where one is bitter and twisted at a young age like we see so much in young people these days to their and our over-all detriment for the future. |
