The way I figure it is, if we had a good man (or woman), being all powerful they should in theory look after the common man, rather than personal gain. The only problem is the hereditary that pop up here and there. |

However on many other matters that get pushed through from time to time (anti-smacking, greenhouse emissions, etc etc) well shouldn't they be consulting the people of NZ and take their opinions into consideration... after all thats who its going to be affecting. :thumbs::thumbs: |

Well I reckon we had a better quality (definitely more respected) of politician back in the 60's and they didn't get paid much back then so I don't think more pay will improve the quality at all. A politician is quite a different animal and pay is not necessarily the motivating factor. |
