1115292 2010-07-02 11:50:00 You certainly seem to have irrational fears there, how do you know the person next to you on the bus is in this category?

You throw the term political correctness around and yet it seems to mean anyone who disagrees with your paranoia.

And if it helps, the misinformation about me having been a Crown Prosecutor wasn't started by me. I'm not a lawyer and never prosecuted murder or violence charges and never claimed to.

Methinks you seriously shot yourself in the foot by posting this then:-

pressf1.co.nz

So therefore I can't believe any of your twaddle far less rely on your figures you bandy about as if factual.

I see Cato also found the same link but before I did. Your credibility is shot!

1115295 2010-07-02 16:02:00 You always say that, in every post defending light sentences.... "irrational fear"... "paranoia"... Nice. How do I know? I would LIKE to know that filth is in prison. :)

O I C. What is this then?

You did not say this?

pressf1.co.nz linky dinky for ya buddy.

You sit on buses worry yourself sick about the guy next to you, that is paranoia unless you know you are sitting next to such an offender.

You also don't appear to know the difference between a prosecutor and a Crown Prosecutor, which about sums up the level of knowledge you have about how the system you constantly run down works. If you think Crown Prosecutors actually prosecute the majority of cases in a Court then you are mistaken.

Here's a definition for you.

For the record I have been a prosecutor, but I'm not a lawyer and never claimed to be.

If you're fear on the bus is rational, then how so?

Mmm - me thinks you shot yourself in the foot by not knowing the difference between a Crown Prosecutor and a Prosecutor. Why not visit your local Court (where I did a few prosecutions as it happens) and learn how a Court actually works.

1115297 2010-07-02 16:29:00 I wouldn't worry too much about 12v, he seems the sort to wait til the worst happens to oneself before getting the real picture.

I dont think a crown prosecutor will save the next victim, more likely to ensure he/she has a job next time.
It is nice reading a murderer got their just deserts, but these days it is rare indeed thanks to the soft approach that seems to work really well. Not.

1115298 2010-07-02 17:05:00 12V never claimed to be a lawyer. You'd be surprised at the different types of prosecutors in the District Court.

Twelve years seems short enough for murder. However it wasn't a horrible knife slashing home invasion murder which is what the 20 year-type sentences are aimed at. This was almost manslaughter (careless killing).

Absolutely awful whatever we call it.

You're talking through your hat, it is hardly rare for Murder cases to be prosecuted successfully, this one was and most are.

You seem to confuse sentencing with prosecution, if you don't understand that then your knowledge is woeful. And a life sentence is compulsory for murder anyway, is now, was ten years ago, was twenty years ago.

1115300 2010-07-02 21:50:00 12V if you were a prosecutor and there are other prosecutors like you no wonder our justice system is doomed. prefect (6291)
