| 1115203 | 2010-07-02 03:41:00 | What company would provide free international air travel for private purposes to their executives and board menmbers plus their spouses? The shareholders would vote them out in double quick time - and the perk would also be subject to FBT. What is the official employment status of MPs - somehow I doubt that they are classified as salaried state employees - may be they should have that status and be paid under civil service conditions that would see off their perks. |

That's because the govt 'legalised' this sort of practices so that this govt looks very 'clean' and corruption free. A smart way of covering up their ugly activities. They have fooled lots of people in this country, though. |

That sounds ok if it wasn't for the fact EU is near bankrupcy as is the USA. We need politiciand indeed, but it doesn't follow that all will be well. |

True, But I never claimed all will be well, I believe everything goes in cycles, and collapse is part of that cycle. |

No doubt about it, this bunch of politicians are not the highest paid politicians in the world. I don't object to pay them higher provided they really work for the people. But if they just sit there doing nothing but to warm their b##### a###, take their spouses for holidays, etc., at our expense then what the hell. |
