But there are two stand-out examples of how bad they can get: The Catholic Church, which is unbelievably wealthy yet sucks money out of their poorest parishioners (the Phillipines and South America for example) and incapable of stopping their priests having sex with children, and not just boys. And the Muslim faith, which seeks to eliminate all those who do not follow their particular belief structure The only real difference betwen the two is that the Catholic Church has more or less stopped fighting wars over religion, while Muslim fanatics actively seek to escalate wars of conversion. Piy they'll never see what really happens when their lights go out, you can't see "The End" when you are dead. Religion is created by man, used by man, and the actions are those of man. (Man being mankind not men ) Sure thats just my way of looking at it, But as far as I'm concerned all those that worship a god are worshipping the same god, Just in slightly different ways, and if they are attracted to an organisation that acts in a way that apeals to them then thats because of what is within them not in how some text is interpreted. |

Absolutely Metla, that is exactly my point, a creed or doctrine, in my opinion created by man, ostensibly for good, but corrupted by those charged with the responsibility for leading it forwards. Acts of man in the name of religion, but devoid of the essential spirit and intent. Billy |

Proveded 'all of them' relates to the organisation or creed, and not neccessarily The minster at the coal face, then that is most definitely the point. I have no time for organised religion of any shape, form or creed, but I have great faith in a proportionately very small number of clergy whom I have met and found to act in the true spirit of their faith.
