| 1115282 | 2010-07-02 07:54:00 | Well maybe if he keeps breaching it, he'll stay there till he's dead. He'll probably end up in prison for good, if he does something similar, once he gets out | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

He'll probably end up in prison for good, if he does something similar, once he gets out Kurariki has been breaching parole since he came out. Many many times, is he in prison now? I know he didn't turn up to court after sexually assaulting those journalists a few months ago... |

| 1115287 | 2010-07-02 09:21:00 | Well true again, but I dont think he was sentenced to life, so hes not on life parole. He may even be off parole by now. And if he is, its up to the police to arrest then charge him again | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||

| 1115289 | 2010-07-02 09:34:00 | Settle yourself - we don't want another of those violent rants again where you threaten people with violence and get banned. I didn't threaten you or anyone else. I just don't like you, for wishing ill for your family - for that I am truly sorry. But you just keeping say this and that man. You act like people should not be held accountable, being that you were a prosecutor is the thing that makes mad. I don't like criminals walking the streets, I am no hippy, I want to see justice served, not political correctness which is what you are your kind preach. When a lawyer, a prosecutor at that, time and time again states that sentences are too harsh, it makes me sick to my stomach knowing the guy next to me on the bus is a rapist or a murder who a) wasn't sentenced did not justify the crime or b) was let out before the sentence was complete for one reason or another. You can talk about reforming people etc, but it just does not seem to work. Whenever someone re-offends, it is nothing but the failure of the justice system. People pay for this with their lives. If you actually believe what you preach, god help us all, because the justice system has failed. There are plenty of laws here, but there is no justice. When you take away someone life you take away everything they every had or will ever have, is it fair that you just go to prison (a nice fancy one at that) and have a jolly good time, living in better conditions than most good hard working people? I don't think so. If you can't change people to stop them being criminals, use whatever you have at your disposal to at least try. Prisons may rehabilitate, but prevention is better than cure. Fear is a weapon, and it must be used as such. Being nice and politically correct does not change anything. |

You certainly seem to have irrational fears there, how do you know the person next to you on the bus is in this category? You throw the term political correctness around and yet it seems to mean anyone who disagrees with your paranoia. And if it helps, the misinformation about me having been a Crown Prosecutor wasn't started by me. I'm not a lawyer and never prosecuted murder or violence charges and never claimed to. |

You throw the term political correctness around and yet it seems to mean anyone who disagrees with your paranoia . And if it helps, the misinformation about me having been a Crown Prosecutor wasn't started by me . I'm not a lawyer and never prosecuted murder or violence charges and never claimed to . You always say that, in every post defending light sentences . . . . "irrational fear" . . . "paranoia" . . . Nice . How do I know? I would LIKE to know that filth is in prison . :) O I C . What is this then? Well I've never broken a law but I'd say the problem is people who think imprisonment solves everything . I worked in the Justice system for thirteen years, and I've probably seen more of it than most on here . As a prosecutor I lost the odd case on technicalities so I know the frustration as well, and I've spent more time inside prisons than most of you as well, so I know pretty much what most of them are really like . I've also had to recommend whether people go to jail and whether people get out of jail, so pretty much had to deal with the real issues here and it can be far more difficult when you have all the facts . You did not say this? . co . nz/showpost . php?p=823339&postcount=49" target="_blank">pressf1 . co . nz linky dinky for ya buddy . |
