Disgraced cop gets justice job

-------------------------
Another thing I found out. Some of you may remember PC Gear in Penrose. The owner had recreated it as a "phoenix company". Look that up if you don't know what it means.
He had a reputation other than his business ethics too.

He liked to fire people without warnings or notice. One guy was threatened with a punch in the face if he didn't leave instantly.
He also gave 3 weeks leave to staff. That 3 weeks was his close down period at Xmas and included the stat days. So in effect, you got far less than the 15 days plus stats you were entitled to. And look what he does now:

au.linkedin.com

Solicitor at Marrickville Legal Centre covering a range of civil and criminal matters including ................. employment .......... complaints.

No mention of his company in the CV other than a brief summary:
he has owned and managed several businesses in the retail, IT, and logistics industries

I'm more concerned about the second part.
How can someone like that get away with it?

1114863 2010-06-30 22:42:00 A bit of rooting around does not make him unsuitable for a real estate related job.
Should be more of it.
Can relate to the boss about wanting to punch employee felt the same myself and I know its mutual.
Have had punch ups before when on piss with workers because thats when they get brave and tell you how it is.

This is the weird bit

" Six months after resigning Mr Moss got a job working in the justice sector as a senior investigator for the newly formed Real Estate Agents Authority (REAA).

While working for the REAA he sent a death notice to a senior Government official and allegedly stalked her when applying for the job of senior enforcement manager.

The senior official alleged she received the death notice about a woman who was shot in the face after she refused to help Mr Moss with his REAA job application. "

Let the guy get on with his life, ethics for the Real Estate crowd looks like the perfect job to me.

If he really sent the death notice then he should be arrested, although maybe it gets around the threatening to kill laws in some quirky way. If the post Police employment stuff is true then he may yet be helping Police with their enquiries.

1114868 2010-07-01 00:58:00 Linking ethics and the Real Estate Industry is an oxymoron. KenESmith (6287)
