| 1114429 | 2010-06-29 04:57:00 | 16 Years after starting to learn to drive my son finally got his learners today. He pinched my car back then and had a bit of a crash etc, couldn't lose his license then cause he didn't have one so they gave him 6 months "can't get a license" instead. He found out today that to do that he had to be actually assigned a license number and in 16 years since they hadn't lifted that 6 months ban - so took a bit of messing about and phoning the police to get it released so he could actually finally get it and be legal. Hopefully he'll progress to Restricted in a shorter time period...... Bribing him with my previous car finally motivated him. Thought he'd end up being the only male in the universe who didn't drive..... |

The bad drivers come in all shapes, sizes and colours. I drive home from the ferry each night - about 10km - I am constantly amazed at the number of drivers who have no lights on (it's dark when I come home), who turn across traffic from straight through lanes, who run red lights, who crash stop signs etc. And this is almost every night that I see instances of all of these - all in a 10km drive! They can't all be Asian drivers bob_doe_nz!! :devil And never a cop around when you need one. |
