| 1114148 | 2010-06-28 06:42:00 | Found my water tank with collapsed roof(re pics). Question is,what caused the roof to collapse. The tank had emptied and it is suggested by the supplier that the vents were blocked,as a consequence the pump, which had continued to pump when tank was empty due blocked vents created a vacuum and sucked roof down. i3.photobucket.com i3.photobucket.com i3.photobucket.com i3.photobucket.com Any good opinion would be welcome. |

| 1114151 | 2010-06-28 07:43:00 | Hi Cicero, there were two 60mm vent holes in the tank lid, which were not blocked. That rules out the vacumn theory. Is there any associated firm that might cover the warranty? Good luck. | BobM (1138) | ||

| 1114155 | 2010-06-28 08:12:00 | What the wind like down there, don't those tanks get a bit floppy when they are empty? I doubt it is the wind. For those that find this amusing, they may like to donate the 6k to fix problem. If air cant get in then how did tank fill, there no evidence that vents were blocked, you will note from pic that it would be tricky to block. |
