1163931 2010-12-22 02:00:00 Hey!

I've got a server 2008 box running IIS and have a few websites hosted. I would like to install Sharepoint Services 3.0 on there too but am not sure what will happen to the current websites?

Will everything continue as normal and Sharepoint be accessible on servername

Thanks for any help :clap

Gutted, I'd like to find a way to make it work. Might install a VM and have a play around.

1163934 2010-12-22 11:17:00 Well I did this on a VM:

1. Installed IIS (web server role) and set up 2 test websites
2. Added the Application Server role required for Share Point
3. Installed Share Point Services 3.0, at this point the sites stopped working as they were under the Default Website and working on port 80, the same as Share Point.
4. Changed Share Point to work on port 81 and started the default website
5. Everything started working again

Is there anything wrong with doing this?
