It seems Google want to expand it's empire into the travel industry after purchasing travel software for 700 million. They could easily dominate, if done properly, by utilizing and enhancing their Google Maps, Earth, and possibly their vast advertising networks, which all have increased paying customers for 1000's of businesses globally - except potential Google commercial businesses directly.
