Botswana has the second highest rate of HIV infection in the world. Its life expectancy rates (the highest in Africa until HIV began to be a problem), have plummeted. An earlier poster mentioned corruption as a problem -as far as that is concerned (and I guess the following comment is relative given the rampant corruption in the rest of Africa), that authoritative source Wikipedia says: "According to Transparency International, Botswana is the least corrupt country in Africa and ranks similarly close to Portugal and South Korea." |

It's about time I got out of the rut I've been living in recent years. I think I'm going there in my mum's memory. I know if she were alive today she would've ditched her lifestyle here in NZ and come with me in a flash. What will you do to support yourself? |
