Nothing wrong with a bit of risk, keeps things interesting.

Probably the biggest risk to Greg in Botswana is not using condoms. Botswana has the second highest rate of HIV infection in the world. Its life expectancy rates (the highest in Africa until HIV began to be a problem), have plummeted.

An earlier poster mentioned corruption as a problem -as far as that is concerned (and I guess the following comment is relative given the rampant corruption in the rest of Africa), that authoritative source Wikipedia says: "According to Transparency International, Botswana is the least corrupt country in Africa and ranks similarly close to Portugal and South Korea."

1116507 2010-07-08 04:17:00 Currently checking out visa requirements, flights, costs - both of getting there and day to day living. And of course, Internet access in the towns.

It's about time I got out of the rut I've been living in recent years. I think I'm going there in my mum's memory. I know if she were alive today she would've ditched her lifestyle here in NZ and come with me in a flash.

What will you do to support yourself?
