John Lennon and his song writing partner Paul McCartney will be remembered 100 years from now. Perhaps even longer. Their music is still being played on radio stations all over the world, as has been the case for the past 40 years or so. They wrote and recorded about 300 songs most of which were very successful. The Beatles had 37 hits in the top ten in the UK and USA and 27 of those went to number one. Not too many other groups have accomplished that feat. That sounds a fairly good reason to be remembered for many years to come. |
