(which often causes them to go bang) But they still use useless capacitors which will die fairly quickly, and they often don't have decent input protection. Any strange thing going on with your mains power supply and they can go bang... I have\have seen multiple failed Hyena (deer) PSUs and problems were always dead capacitors. |

I know of some 450w psus which have lower ratings on the 12v rail than some 350w ones. As for brands, I've had an enermax fail after 8 years, but the psu that came with the case (icute) is still going strong... I guess this is a fluke, since I believe you do get what you pay for. |
