1116940 2010-07-08 12:21:00 Our LCD does not have freeview built in. we have our Sky decoder connected using its SCART(is that what the funny end is called) to the composite input. the tv is at least 4 years old.

and my trinitron is mono. i can plug in headfones into it and i only get a signal out of one. their is a speaker on the right side (it has 2 grills) but its alot smaller the the left one and i can barely hear sound from it. it has yellow and black composite input and output plus the standard aerial plug. i was just wondering if a UHF freeview box would work as the aerial plug in my wall is for VHF and UHF as we have a UHF aerial.

Having the Sky plugged in via a SCART to composite adapter sounds strange. Is your unit very old? See if you can find out whether it supports component.

.

It's not strange, all sky digital units used this method up until a few years ago.
