We were there when expats had to be evacuated from Bouganville - Kimbe was a refuelling stop for the choppers, some of which had numerous bullet holes in them. Hagen & the highlands were a bit rough - Porgera was just like the wild west, but a lot wetter !! Those was the days !! |
