1118935 2010-07-15 07:25:00 :help: I have a Mazda Familia 95 model. One of the headlights has blown so I need to replace the bulb, had a quick look tonight and it would appear the bulb doesn't come out from the back of the light. There are a couple of clips on top of the light so can someone confirm whether I need to remove the lens to remove the bulb?

Thanks

Most are removed similar to these step by step instructions

1118938 2010-07-16 11:39:00 Disconnect the connector from the bulb, pull rubber boot off or twist off boot holder & remove boot depending what type, then release clip that holds the bulb in headlamp unit. Reverse procedure to fit bulb. Phil B (648)
1118939 2010-07-16 21:56:00 Thanks for that all sorted now, funny how in my over 20 years of driving I have never had a bulb go before now, so never had to change one before. gary67 (56)
1118940 2010-07-17 00:22:00 Just don't touch the bulb or it will fail soon .

Human oils - ANY oils actually - will burn onto the glass envelope and destroy it in the very high heat they generate in those new bulbs .

If you already touched it, clean it with 90%/180 Proof isopropyl alcohol and air dry it before you reinstall it . .

Great tip Joe - the easiest option is to buy some some surgical latex gloves .
