1117951 2010-07-11 22:11:00 Spain won with 5min to go in extra time. What did you guys think of the game? Netherlands were unlucky about that corner they were denied. icow (15313)
1117952 2010-07-11 22:19:00 As they were just dicsussing on Tv1, it was a scrappy game but Spain did deserve the win. They had more possesion and just played as a better team and the result shows this. xyz823 (13649)

1117954 2010-07-11 22:22:00 BORING! BORING! BORING! They kick the ball back and forth, back and forth, ad nauseum. Hours of sheer boredom. How can anyone muster any enthusiasm for such a game?

Thank goodness it is over and the country (and the world) can resume what passes for normal.

1117957 2010-07-11 22:32:00 Seems Paul the Octopus was right again.

Maybe he should take up gambling :) --
Paul the Octopus (hatched January 2008) is a common octopus living in a tank at a Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany, who is used as an animal oracle to predict the results of football matches, usually international matches in which Germany is playing. He came to worldwide attention with his accurate predictions in the 2010 World Cup.

During a divination, Paul is presented with two boxes containing food, each marked with the flag of a national football team in an upcoming match. He chose the box with the flag of the winning team in four of Germany's six Euro 2008 matches, and in all seven of their matches in the 2010 World Cup. He correctly predicted a win for Spain against the Netherlands in the World Cup final on 11 July by eating the mussel in the box with the Spanish flag on it.

His predictions have thus been 100% (8/8) correct for the 2010 World Cup and 86% (12/14) correct overall.

1117960 2010-07-11 22:41:00 Would have been more interesting watching that octopus for two hours than that game, what a waste of time, I won't be watching any more football for a long time. zqwerty (97)
