1117237 2010-07-08 21:25:00 I hear about what's new and stuff.

I will start off ... On a regular basis we have a P3-600 running Windows 2000. Surely some are using something older than that :D

A few yrs back, we still had a Win95a on a AMD-200Mhz 32MB but we donated to eDay due t the RAM being not enough for internet, Office was fine thou.

Yes, we don't have DVD / HD recorders, we still use VCR and the folks just bought some blank audio cassette tapes :)

1117242 2010-07-08 22:30:00 Not here being an IT store :)
But I did go and look at a machine in a tyre shop/service centre that was an old Cyrix 266 with 8MB of ram and was just running DOS.
Machine still running fine just a dodgey HDD.

1117243 2010-07-08 22:38:00 Also my friend had a rocky mountain basic computer. It was used for manufacturing metal parts. They only stopped using it cause the power unit was dying. The got an electrician and IT Technician in but they said there was nothing they could do. So they sold it off to someone.

1117244 2010-07-08 22:52:00 I still use a shovel, spade and a hand mower. I haven't yet got back to an adze or spokeshaver though. Snorkbox (15764)
1117245 2010-07-08 23:33:00 When I want to listen to old wireless programmes that you can't pick up these days on newer sets, I switch on a 1932 Ekco TRF mains radio, the one that has a brown bakelite 'cathedral' case. It has only needed 2 replacement valves since new. :clap Terry Porritt (14)

Must be interesting living in the past!
