| 1165161 | 2011-02-13 10:16:00 | Did you try those drivers I linked to earlier? Download the file and extract the contents to a blank floppy disk. Then when starting the Windows XP setup, hit "F6" when it asks if you want to use a 3rd party RAID driver and insert the floppy and select the driver to load. You will need a floppy drive (USB might work, not sure) as you can't load RAID drivers in XP from anything else. |

| 1165163 | 2011-02-18 07:54:00 | Thank you to all who have helped with this problem of mine about dual booting. My new Acer Aspire has had a failure of some kind. It just would not start the other day. It has been sent back to Acer in Auckland for repair under the warranty which I am told will take at least 2 weeks and possibly more if new parts are required which are not available in Auckland. In the meantime its back to an old very slow XP I have now come to the decision that I will upgrade to Windows 7 Professional and use XP Mode. Thank you |
