1117552 2010-07-10 21:13:00 At least tonight's low in Auckland will remind you of what you are missing in the deep south!! :D
Hah, what low, Aucklands low is Wyndhams high.

For meat ... she favours The Aussie Butcher

Fruit and veges are a no-no from the major chains, the local shops have better quality at much lower prices.
)
I always used the Aussie Butcher when I was here and have even used them when I was down there - I got him to courier it. Meat, except whole sheep, is a sickening price down there.

And yes, the vege stalls are what I go to rather than the supermarket.

Toilet paper $10 for 40 rolls at Warehouse, 5KG of washing powder for $11 at Warehouse. Flour $23.98 for 25KG from Albany.
And so on.

If you take housing out of the equation, everything is cheaper here. Power, rates, food, petrol, phone (because of the ISPs own equipment deals), clothes (all those cool little Indian shops etc).

1117557 2010-07-11 02:30:00 I just urgently needed a cabbage.....

You are insane... Cabbage???? :rolleyes: Unfortunately Auckland is not cheap for NZ's pathetic excuse for broadband. Can't wait for fiber. then again. Fiber will stop at auckland. maybe wellington will get it in 2048 when we get invaded by communist chinese who can't cope without a gigabit fiber connection

When you need a cabbage, you need a cabbage .

And did I mention the fish? So nice to have the choices again . Instead of just cod, cod, cod, oh yeah, flounder and **** cod like down there in the food desert .
