| 1117108 | 2010-07-09 09:25:00 | The width of car parking spaces in general seems somewhat smaller now than in the days around 30+ years ago when everyone seemed to be driving a big Holden, Falcon or Valiant. If cars aren't parked exactly central between the lines then great care has to be taken to avoid the door touching the neighbouring car in many car parks. It's all about how many cars they can squeeze in to extract the most moolah. When I was in the UK (London) 30 years ago (f#@K - it seems like yesterday!!!) doing my OE, the carparks were all a consistent size. Big enough to park a Roller. No smaller. Probably changed now.... |

| 1117109 | 2010-07-09 09:39:00 | Never park your car next to: TL34 Tanks - Those treads leave some nasty scratches not to mention a 200mm Cannon Humvees - Them doors are solid US Marine HUmvees - You won't just be getting 9mm holes, consider a .516 or M203 Grenade, worse still its impossible to scratch them back Porirua In general - You won't have a car, you'll have an empty space and a long walk home |

| 1117111 | 2010-07-10 10:25:00 | Parking space widths for supermarkets (P&S and NW anyway) are designed at 2.5m wide. Whether that's any different to 30 years ago, I dunno. I try to find a slot away from the rest and never park next to a dunger. Still been hit tho  | seltsam (13470) | ||
| 1117112 | 2010-07-12 01:14:00 | I have been lucky enough to avoid getting any dints in my doors, but one day at the supermarket I did acquire a dint in my bonnet. Can't figure out what someone was doing to accidentally dent my bonnet. | Greven (91) | ||
