1456166 2018-11-30 23:30:00 Our fibre system uses the above router. I have a couple of queries about it:

1. The phone beside the machine is connected to the "Fon 1" socket. The pre existing lines within the house, which supply a portable phone and a fixed phone, are connected to the "Fon 2". Before the fibre connection, we could pick up any phone, and get someone else to get the call on another. Now this doesn't work between the two connections to the router; would this work if a splitter was plugged into "Fon 1", and the two lines into that?

2. When there is a message on the answering machine, we can listen to it by dialling **600, but cannot rehear the message. I have the manual but it really doesn't help.

Can anybody help?

So, yes, however you do it, just get all phones onto the one socket.

1456168 2018-12-02 21:53:00 Thanks linw, I have connected them all to one socket, and it seems to work. I haven't solved the problem with the answering machine yet I see that I didn't make clear that the answering machine is part of the router. Brucem (8688)
1456169 2018-12-02 23:13:00 Usually 2Degrees use their own answering system, althou you can enable the one on the FritzBox. Try to log onto the Fritzbox by typing the IP number into a browser and check the messages. Nomad (952)
1456170 2018-12-03 04:19:00 If you are on 2degrees, their email system is accessed by dialing *55 decibel (11645)
1456171 2018-12-04 22:02:00 As neither of the replies regarding the answering machine solved my problem, I sent a query to AVM, (the Fritzbox manufacturer), who has answered, and resolved the problem.

To listen to messages: dial **600,
to rehear the message (if only one message) dial 1 then 1,
if more than one message dial 9 to go forward, or 7 to go back in the list.
