Longish cables or even cable extentions needed to be high quality or you'd get noticeable degradation Many people with dual monitors used both the SVGA & DVI ports Its analogue , vid/monitor connectors are trending towards digital : HDMI , DVI, Display port HDMI has the advantage of vid+sound, so one cable does both if the monitor has speakers |
