1455873 2018-11-23 08:41:00 I feel a new sluggishness in my Ubuntu Mint distro .

I tried to install a few different 'cleaners' not unlike CCleaner for Windows .

Here's my results:
joseph@SurfersMintu1 ~ $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oguzhaninan/stacer
[sudo] password for joseph:
'This PPA does not support trusty'
Cannot add PPA: ''This PPA does not support trusty'' .

Is this because I am losing LDS in another 30 days or so? All things considered, I love Mint and I don't want to harm it .

I've got that RED X again .

This: "does the network require authentication?" thing kinda bothers me . What have I done . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . or had done to me?

Tells you everything except RAM.
WHich would be the important bit ....

Sweeper - meh. Cookie remover basically.

You don't really need cleaners in Linux, there isn't a registry.

Your browser may become bloated, re-do the browser.

1455876 2018-11-23 18:59:00 Joe, you might find i-nex useful for checking your system details.

Available from the synaptic packet manager.

Also, if you are running Firefox, you might find clearing out all the History speeds things up.

Did for me.

Going there right now - even though it's 00:24 on Saturday here. And it's snowing.....

1455878 2018-11-24 07:30:00 Hmmmmmmmmm. Synaptic reports that I don't have "i-nex".

If I had it, what would I do with it?

I tried to run it in the Terminal, but it refused to play nicely with me too.

Well that's got me licked .

Did you use the search facility in Synaptic?

Should have turned up like this:

9161

Then, having found it, you should be able to scroll through the top tab's and see all the details on resources etc .

9162 9163

Will that also remove all my stored passwords?

I have a really bad time getting back to F1 when I lose the password . I can copy/paste it from a 'secret file' I have encrypted, and I swear I used it before - but this site refuses to acknowledge that it is correct and then I have to go through all that password resetting nonsense again . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

1455881 2018-11-24 19:20:00 You will see that I do not have i-nex anywhere.............

A screenshot coming up......

1455882 2018-11-24 19:23:00 I'm going to do this: (I Googled it) .... ..

sudo apt-get --purge autoremove synaptic && sudo apt-get install synaptic

.... then ....

sudo apt-get update

.... . then reboot and see if it installs correctly.
