2019-02-20 23:44:00 | I get a bit, but it's generally correctly identified by Gmail so it doesn't tend to get in my way and so don't tend to notice it. How do you read email to see all of it? and who is your mail provider? My email is with Hotmail and I use Outlook Express. It seems to identify most spam and correctly put it in the junk email folder, but it misses the occasional one or two which is a bit annoying. I don't see all of it, as such, but I do go to the junk mail folder every so often and check that it hasn't identified good mail as junk then I click "Empty Folder." Thank you for your comments, particularly about Mailwasher. Thank you Wainui and Dugimodo. I will check them out. Most appreciated.

2019-02-21 00:02:00 | Gmail has the best spam filter I have seen. If any rarely do get through, I mark as spam (on their server) and am never bothered again. If only they were as good at stopping outbound spam ...

2019-02-21 07:10:00 | I run 3 email accounts, one for personal mail and only used between trusted friends, which attracts no spam, the second is a semi personal account which I use for hobby purposes, ie clubs, forums etc again attracts little spam, the third I use for commercial mail, which is mainly used for outgoing mail and is opened a couple of times a month at most. attracts nearly all my spam and the spam is easily deleted in bulk whenever I open it. | tutaenui (1724) | |
2019-02-21 19:45:00 | .... one for personal mail and only used between trusted friends, which attracts no spam, . your trusted friends add you to their contact list......then a bit later bam your getting spam Ive had that happen, being spammed because I was on someones contact list, hacker got hold of that contact list (and many thousands of others) & were all sold to spammers. Look at all the Android apps accessing contact lists for no good reason. Its only a matter of time before your clean email becomes dirty.

2019-02-24 07:08:00 | Yes I have several email accounts, and two of them get a lot of spam. Lately it seems to be Courier for my $1,000 Smartphone And Countdown prizes. Why cant or wont the ISP's jump on these and report them to an international anti spam organization?

2019-02-24 19:19:00 | Seriously, Gmail rules. No need for 3rd party programs and messing about with spam all the time. Just use gmail. I use it with my domain email. Via Thunderbird. Brother uses it on multiple devices using imap. Almost no spam ever. As I have said already............. As for ISPs, how do they know whether or not you want ads? Some people do sign up for that stuff,
