| 1458089 | 2019-02-12 03:43:00 | en.wikipedia.org Had a bad episode with blood poisoning in my late teens and lost a lot of weight. A new friend at the time, who was a body builder/weight lifter, put me on a weight gain plan, (bl**dy awful tasting), but the weight training part, which your hubby would not be able to do fully, stacked on just under 2 stone. Still take two of the wonder foods on my breakfast cereal/porridge, brewers yeast and wheat germ, tablespoon of each. B/H has type 2 diabetes and now injecting insulin. I give her the wheat germ on her cereal. You will see those 5 wonderfoods in the above article. We hope you manage to get some weight on your man. Best wishes to you both. lurking. |

| 1458090 | 2019-02-12 07:58:00 | What about a little 'appetite stimulant'? Should be plenty of black market stuff around Napier, maybe bake it into some biscuits... although I suspect it (increased appetite) would mess with his blood sugars if it did work. | Paul.Cov (425) | ||

| 1458092 | 2019-02-15 01:54:00 | Well doc visit went quite well. Apparently she is swedish - she said you can tell from my blonde hair and blue eyes (she has brown hair and brown eyes). Not that I care if she is martian...husband asked. Anyway she told him he is to have no short acting insulin at all, to listen to me and eat. Or he'll die. And prescribed some supplement (told her we bought some, well son did). And said he is to keep sugars at 8-15. Whether he listens or not....he has gained 1kg in 2 weeks though. And man has it been hard work getting him to eat..... |
