1119797 2010-07-17 23:14:00 Heh, for most of the amateur users out there the consequences of disabling shortcuts will be far more troublesome than letting the vulnerabilty stay open...
and the process of browsing to find the exe, rather than using the shortcut will also open folders in the process, in turn triggering the payload if it is already present.

This has the potential to be big, since it seems to have a dispersion strategy similar to Conficker/Kido, but with an even broader 'trigger', and a more problematic short term solution.

These bulletins are never-ending.
None of them matter in the slightest if you keep your anti-malware up to date, scan regularly and use common sense on the net.
