| 1120091 | 2010-08-30 11:05:00 | Given that she is an absolutely excellent dentist, I wasn't too put out, given the scale of things others have experienced. However, in addition to the dentist, both Herself and I wear specs, and we also both have to go to a doctor every three months, and I have to go to a specialist at similar intervals. We do seem to need regular and expensive maintenance, especially at this stage of our lives... It is sobering to average out body maintenance costs on a weekly basis over a year. We probably cost more to run than our cars. Thank goodness we don't pay for a gym as well. Our exercise at least is free. Well, actually that is not true. I have a mountain bike, a road bike, and tramping gear (sold the scuba gear a couple of years ago). Herself exercises free - gardening and walking. |
