Yes reinstalling Windows will leave the folder still on your external drive (obviously) If you are OK with commandline I would check out the permissions on the offending folder with CACLS. (www.computerhope.com) Then you may find you need to give yourself access so you can delete it. However, 8ftmetalhaed's suggestion to use Linux to delete the folder would probably be easier. So either take your drive to PC which has Linux or download and run a LiveCD. |
